Pine Forest is a 500-acre neighborhood established in 1976 and consisting of 133 lots, ranging in size from 1 to nearly 12 acres, currently occupied by 103 homes. The entrance to Pine Forest is off Elbow Coulee Road, approximately 6 miles from the town of Winthrop. The neighborhood borders the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest and is near the Sun Mountain Lodge trail system.

Pine Forest Owners’ Association maintains approximately 6.5 miles of private roads and nearly 120 acres of greenbelts. About a quarter of the lots have full-time residents.
